Tears of the veteran by Dmitrybulletdodger Tears of the veteran by Dmitrybulletdodger
Today I went to the monument to meet with the WWII Soviet veterans who saved us many years ago from the Nazis. While everyone was thanking this veteran he was crying..he couldn't say a word..he was happy that people remember their deeds..and remember people and soldiers who died during the war. I thank all the veterans who fought and made our world a better place.

UPDATE: I got rid of the stroke and the USSR stars near my signature. This photo doesn't need decorations.
update2: minor color adjustments

Update DD: Thank you $Moonbeam13 and a friend who suggested (remained anonymous) Thank you, friends for all your comments! I will try to answer all the questions and comments! Thank you again!

A very powerful photo, very impressive, though simple one. I am so glad that people from other countries remember and understand what actually the soviet soldiers did for everyone during the WWII.

Very, very moving. We owe the Soviet soldier of WWII more than we know. They bought the time needed to amass material and sufficiently strong Allied armies with blood. Though I had to stand ready to fight them decades later, their sacrifice will never be forgotten by me.

Wow. So inspiring and great to see a soldier of WWII to cry over joy and happiness to know that everyone thanks him for his deeds and commitment. May God give him a place of sanctity next to his throne, for he is not a regular soldier, but a soldier of God's in his eyes.

My entire family fought the goddamn Nazis and three quarters of them died. I lost five great uncles and a great aunt to the bastards. And my grandfather died after falling down the stairs because the fucking Russian government didn't hand him his painkiller meds. And he was a field doctor who spent two years in the swamps of Manchuria waiting for the Japs AFTER scraping his name in the Reichstag. So, these men do not cry from joy. They cry from desperation. Living heroes are never wanted. They are better off dead to the governments that sent them to the razor's edge of life and death. Because that way - they cannot demand anything. May my motherland, Russia, washed with the blood of my family, BE CURSED to the pits of hell, for I will piss on the burned flag that shall lie on its grave. And not for myself, whom the country has damned to desperately penniless immigration, no. But for all those who have died for it in vain. May Russia disappear so it can no longer destroy its own people.
